Test integrity of battery backup power on site for items such as:

• UPS’s

• Access control panels

• CCTV systems

• Access swipe control standby power.

• Automated doors.

 

An example of some parameters inspected but not limited to:

• Connections for continuity and resistance.

• Battery resistances and voltages.

• Battery internal resistance.

• Battery internal temperature parameters

 

Condition diagnosis:

• Clean battery surfaces of dust/dirt accumulation.

• Clean and tighten all terminal connections.

• Document recordings of battery resistance and voltage.
